CHINESE MOTHER OF PEARL GAMING COUNTERS CHIPS (2) Picture(s) and Description:
This is for a group of two matching Chinese gaming counters with deep-carved decoration made in around 1840. They have a blank roundel to one side and a very well-drawn full scene of Chinese life to the other. They are made of very thick, bright mother-of-pearl. The sizes are shown in the scan with the ruler. No reserve.
